Brazilian Butt Lift

What is the process for a Brazilian butt lift procedure?

Those who have a healthy lifestyle but complain about their flat butts can get a solution with this procedure. This operation reshapes both the butt and the surrounding areas (for example, the thighs). Thus, it helps overcome hereditary factors and adds volume and contour to the buttocks. With this procedure, the fat in the abdomen, hips and buttocks is reduced. It shapes the body and allows the clothes to fit the body better. It is effective in making the hips look more aesthetic and younger. It creates balance between the upper and lower body.

Implants are not used in this procedure. It is ideal for patients who do not have excessive sagging on their hips and have sufficient fat ratio.

In the BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) technique, first of all, fat is removed from the abdomen, thighs, waist or a different part of the body with the Liposuction method. Vaser Liposuction is generally preferred for this purpose. In this technique, fat is collected from the body with sound waves and transferred to the required areas.

The fat harvested from other areas of your body by liposuction are purified and made suitable for the transfer. Then fat is injected into certain parts of the buttock. Since patients will lose some part of initial butt volume after the procedure, many surgeons inject a little more fat than it should be. This procedure is performed under general anaesthesia.

Differences between Silicone Implants and Brazilian Butt Lift

Silicone (implant) application is ideal for patients who are very thin and have a lean body mass and from whose body not enough fat is removed. While Brazilian butt lift offers a more natural appearance, butt augmentation by implants may create some disadvantages in this regard.

How long is the recovery after a Brazilian Butt Lift?

  • The patient does not feel severe pain. Painkillers are sufficient to control the resulting pain.
  • Sitting on the buttock or lying on the back should be avoided for 2 weeks after the surgery.
  • It is recommended to put a pillow under the thighs and sit on the side while sitting, in order not to put pressure on the butt. Using a toilet-chair seat will also be beneficial. It usually takes 8 weeks to start sitting normally.
  • After the surgery, light daily work can be performed.
